Comfortable Camping Accessories
The campers are packed and ready to go, so excited once again to
travel as if it was their first adventure. They leave their homes
and arrive at the campsite only to find that they have forgotten
one very important item - the tent!
Of course it happens to the best of us. Somebody forgot to
make a checklist.
Camping is for people who love exploring and endless
adventure. Nowadays, camping doesn't necessarily mean roughing it in
the woods. There are plenty of amenities available today that
making camping quite comfortable.
Keep in mind that the very essence of camping is that you relax and get your mind off stressful activities. Whether you are a novice camper or an experienced one, you can always make your camp a comfortable
place to hang out.
Here are some of the camping accessories that you might want to
consider:
• Tents and Tarps
Restful sleep is a number on camping priority. Tents
and tarps keep you dry and relatively safe, and mattress pads can be
very helpful for the really cold nights.
• Camp Foods and Cooking Tools

You can also bring your most favorite coffeemaker to ease you when you feel cold. In eating, it is also essential that you have utensils. You can eat with your hands alone, but it will be more comfortable if you are eating with a pair of fork and spoon.

• Camp Clothing and Personal Hygiene
The best camping happens when you are prepared. Here's some of
the things you will need:
Underclothing: Always pack extra underclothes
especially if you have children.
Play Clothes: Plenty of shorts, t-shirts or
tanks will be needed for the kids (remember they are going to get
dirty, often).
Special Event Clothing: If you are planning to
go out to dinner, make sure to bring at least one nice set of
clothing.
Sleepwear: Pack sleepwear for all weather
possibilities: hot nights, cold nights, and neutral temperatures.
Footwear: Different shoes will be required for
different planned activities. Hiking boots or snow boots, water
shoes for the beach, sandals for shower houses, and general sneakers
for everyday play.
Swim Clothes: More than one bathing suit or pair
of swim trunks should be packed to allow for one to hang dry while
the other is being used.
Outerwear: Jackets or sweatshirts are a safe
item to pack for any destination. Heavier jackets may be needed if
traveling to the desert, mountains or spring/fall seasons. If
traveling in the winter for snow sporting trips, pack accordingly.
Toiletries: Supply medications and first aid
kits tailored to your child's specific needs are a must.
Bring all prescriptions and get your doctor to provide you with a
refill option if you're going on a long journey. Many basics such as
shampoo, soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, comb/brush, lotion, etc. can
be supplied for each child in their own kit, or together in a family
bag.
For children still in diapers, bring plenty of wipes, diapers, and
ointments to prevent the risk of running out of supplies or rashes
developing without the proper treatments available.
It is helpful to pack a laundry bag or large plastic bag to keep
dirty clothes separate from the others. This will also help when
returning home to have laundry already separated and ready to be
washed. To be prepared for anything, pack along pre-measured amounts
of laundry detergent and coins for any emergencies or accidents that
may occur along the way.
